Apple Event: May 7th at 7 am PT
I have been using AppleTV 4 successfully for some time, watching videos from my Tv. Now some videos say "an error occurred" and i can' watch the video. It happens with maybe half of my videos, even some of my home videos. Can't figure out why. I have restarted aple tv as a possible solution. On iTunes list of movie it shows an alert icon by the problem videos.

Try power cycling ATV.
What version of tvOS are you running? Was it updated recently?

Just as an experiment, you could try playing one of the videos on another device or computer and AirPlaying to ATV. That might work, or not.
using the apple build in video app or some third party one ?
Using latest versions of all software. The files don't play on my computer either.

What is your computer, with what OS version?
Have you updated iTunes recently?
Are the files stored on your computer, or do you use a separate server?
Since iTunes displays an alert with these files, and they don't play on the computer, you might find more help in another forum, although lots of members here use configurations similar to yours.
