Meaning it has never connected? Do you have cellular data on? Have you checked with your carrier to make sure that your account is provisioned correctly for cellular data? Do you have an iPhone designed for your location? Do you have the ability to connected to cellular data at all?
Everything is set to 4G. I've checked and it's available in my area. I know that as my husbands phone has 4G. Just not mine 😟
Do you connect to data at all? Can you access 3G? You say your husband's phone has 4G, does he have the exact same phone as you? Did you both buy your phones in the area where you use them? Have you contacted your carrier as I asked earlier?
Where, exactly, did you get the phone? What does it say in Settings>General>About>Model? What country are you in? Who is your carrier? What did your carrier say when you reported the problem to them?
I Contacted the carrier, yes. Told it's not a problem. I was sent a link to activate the settings but the link wouldn't work saying it could not connect to the server. I'm in the uk.
My husband has the 5s and I have a 5c. I can connect to data but only 3G. I have everything set up for 4G but it just doesn't connect. Also, I have contacted the carrier. I'm told it can be used with 4G and was sent a link to follow to update my settings but it wouldn't work.
Then I suggest you bring your device to the carrier and have them check your SIM. Many of the carrier updated SIMs when it came to support for the faster cellular services. If you do a restore of your device from backup, it should prompt you to update your carrier file. If not, then it certainly could be a SIM issue. But, the carrier should be able to help you through this. It is also possible that your account is not provisioned for 4G for your device. While your husband's phone does and you are going to say that you are on the same account, each device is separate, identified by your ISBN.
It's also possible it's a gray market phone that's not compatible with the LTE network wherever they are.
