my ipod randomly turned off and it won't work?

my 5th generation iPod touch wouldn't turn on at all. i cannot do the reset method because my iPod home button is jammed. my iPod has been giving me problems after it cracked it would stick all the time. i cannot afford to buy a battery or to buy a new one. can someone help me to get my iPod back on?
