I downloaded a few episodes of a tv show from iTunes- is there any way I could "un-download" it so I would just get the "download from the cloud" icon again? I don't want to lose my purchases but I don't have much space left on my computer.

All purchases, as long they are still available in the Store, can be re-downloaded from the iTunes Store via the Purchases tab.
You can delete them and re-download them later as long as you trust the media companies not to withdraw them from distribution in which case they will no longer be available even if you have purchased them. You are much better off buying two external storage drives (one for backup) and storing extra media on there. iCloud storage is a convenience but not a substitute for local storage.
Is there a way to impermanently delete an episode downloaded on my device?
