IOS suddenly reduces motion

I am using IOS 9.3.1 on Iphone 4s and sometimes get this error. I dont turn the reduce motion on, but the device automatically turns to reduce motion mode. I try rebootting and it's gone, but rebootting is very inconvenient. I think it's bug on IOS 9. And IOS 9 has many small bug but very annoying. Does anyone see that?

Hi,

This is definitely a springboard crash on your device. The springboard is the section of iOS that manages animations when you quit apps, go to the app switcher, etc.

Unfortunately, this issue is slightly more common on older devices as they usually have less RAM which can cause apps and parts of the Operating system (such as the springboard) to crash more as there is not enough space left in the RAM to sustain them.

You could try a restore which some have noted to fix the issue, the instructions to do so can be found here:

Use iTunes on your Mac or PC to restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to factory settings - Apple Support

If you have noticed that this happens after using a specific app then you may want to try reinstalling it or not using it.

Hope this helps! Let me know how you get on. 🙂
