certain songs are stuttering on my iPod
some songs on my classic stutter when played, this just started. I thought it was a connection problem but then noticed it is not all the music.

If it's only some songs, and always the same songs, you should probably do a Restore on the iPod using iTunes. This erases the iPod, reinstalls its software, and sets it to default settings.
It's the erasing, and then re-syncing your songs after that Restore, that should get rid of either data corruption or extreme data fragmentation on the iPod's hard drive.
