Can't choose theme in iMovie 10.1.2

Can't choose theme in iMovie 10.1.2

Out of the blue, the themes do not show up in iMovie 10.1.2. They used to show.

The "Theme Chooser" from the Window menu is grayed out. My iMovie is up to date.

Any hint to get themes back?

MacBook Air, OS X El Capitan (10.11.4)

Set or change the theme

With your movie open in the timeline, click Settings in the upper-right corner of the timeline, and then click the Theme button.

In the Change Theme window, do one of the following:

Choose a theme: Select a theme, and click Change.To preview a theme, move the pointer over the theme’s thumbnail and click the Play button .

Remove the theme: Select No Theme, and click Change.
