iOS 9.3.1 iPhone 5s - Touch ID not working/phone freezes

Dear Apple,

The touch ID is not working and i know the issue derives from the software because it never happened prior to updates 9.3 and 9.3.1. The issues i've had since updating are: keyboard lags when entering 4 digit pin, bluetooth doesn't connect, battery gets hot and drains quickly, but most importantly the touch id doesn't work. It will work for a day, after many resets by holding the home button and the power button, then randomly it will stop working. The "add a fingerprint" option will go from blue to grey at random. If i get lucky and set a fingerprint, then like i mentioned before, the touch id option will stop working. It happens when the phone auto-locks or is powered off, then i try to power-on by clicking the top power button or hit the home button but the screen will stay black and is unresponsive. At this point the phone seems to be frozen so i do a reset by holding the home and power button. The phone boots up except the touch id doesn't work and the fingerprints are no longer stored. It's happened where later, after many resets, the touch id option becomes available again and the phone will have the original fingerprints in the memory. I paid for an iPhone with 64 gb, so it wasn't cheap, and doesn't work as it should. I expect 9.3.2 will address these issues.

Thank you for your time.

I rather doubt that, since there is not a wide spread issue with Touch ID for the iPhone 5s. You need to troubleshoot your issues. Most are common issues that can happen occasionally. User troubleshooting steps include restart, reset, restore from backup, restore to factory.

Just a restart will probably not cure your issue. Follow the steps that I provided you by using the corresponding link for the support document with instructions. Millions of users are very satisfied with their units, there is no need to lose faith in Apple, just troubleshoot your device.
