Whenever a transaction that requires AppleID access is carried out. Logging into this ASC, acquiring something from the App Store (including freebies), buying a computer from the Online Store, etc.
"Opening" a device, including typing in the screen lock key, does not involve using the AppleID, unless you goof up enough times for the device to become blocked,
So just to clarify, the device being unlocked will not send me any notifications, regardless of on-screen prompts to login...but only an actual Apple ID login/login attempt will? Just checking as we have a foster child moving into our home.
