Does anybody now how to shutdown the Closed Caption function on MLB TV?
I'm using the AppleTV 4th generation. When I'm swiping down for info, I'm only getting
to see the audio functions. There's no possibility to select any subtitles.

You might check on the MLB site, since it's their app. It would likely be in the internal app settings, not on the ATV info pulldown.
I've found it. Go to:
4th generation Apple TV: Settings > General > Accessibility > Closed Captions and SDH and choose off.
After this, you have to close and restart the MLB app. And the CC is off.
You can close the app by double pressing the home button on your AppleTV remote and swipe up to close the app.
