A student has entered their passcode too many times so the iPad is disabled. I am unable to access the iPad since iTunes wants me to respond on the iPad to trust the computer. I am trying not to loose the content of the iPad since the student is non-verbal and the app that she uses to communicate has been customized pretty heavily. Any help you can give would be appreciated.

If the device is disabled and was not backed up to iCloud or iTunes there is no way to recover the contents of the phone. That's the same issue the FBI faced with the San Bernardino terrorist's phone. The FBI was able to, but it cost them somewhere around $1 million.
If it was backed up you just need to restore iOS as new, then reload the backup.
Thanks for your help. I don't think I can get the school board to swing for the million so we'll start from scratch and learn a valuable lesson about backing things up.
