I often have several tabs open in Safari while I simultaneously work on different projects. After shutting down my iMac, the tabs would automatically restore on restart. Now (since El Capitan?) it doesn't happen, and the "Restore all open windows from last session" is greyed out in the History section. I can't find anything in Preferences that would affect this. Anybody have any ideas?

I figured it out: the re-open option in Safari is not available when the "Close windows when quitting an application" is turned off in the System Preferences General window. Thank you for all your help!

Probably meant screen shot with the drop down open - that can be tricky sometimes 🙂
I can't take a screenshot in this case because to view the selections involves toggling which I can't do AND take a screenshot.
When I drop down the top tab I get the same 4 options plus "Tabs for Favorites" and "Choose tabs folder".
