How do I set up on my Ipad so I can receive my new mail from Icloud account?

How do I set up on my Ipad so I can receive my new mail from Icloud account?

Why can't you get it? What happens when you try? Is there an error message? If so, what does it say?
I am connected, Wi-Fi or Cellular, but when I try to retreive my mail from my Icloud account none of the new mails come on. Why, I do not know, this is why I am asking.
No error message, it just does not bring my mail to my Ipad
Try deleting the account and re-adding it.
Ok I took the account of by shutting of the mail button.
I added de address once again and now I opened the mail tab again and I still can´t receive the newer mails. And I know I have new mail because I see it on my other devices. The last mail I received on my Ipad for my Icloud account was from 2013.
Try it this way and see if it helps. First close your Mail App completely from the app switcher window by double clicking the Home button and swiping up the Mail preview pane up until it disappears from the screen. You may have to look for the Mail pane by scrawling to the left. Then go to Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > locate your email provider and click on the account. On the next page Delete Account. Then do a forced restart. Hold down the Home and Wake/Sleep buttons at the same time for about 15-20 seconds until the Apple logo appears. Then go back to Settings > Mail… and add the account again.
I get this message when I add the account THE IMAP SERVER "AUTOMATICALLY ADDED FOR IOS & OS X MAIL" IS NOT RESPONDING. CHECK YOUR NETWORK CONNECTION AND THAT YOU ENTERED THE CORRECT INFORMATION IN THE "INCOMING MAIL SERVER" FIELD.
