Is there a way to hook up a USB memory stick to my New iPad Pro, to transfer PDF files and a few Jpeg files from the USB memory stick with a lightning adapter ? If there is NO adapter, how can I get those files off the USB stick and onto my iPad pro?

The iPads do not support USB sticks. There are some wireless flash drives that can be used but not the conventional drives. I suggest transferring the files to a computer and then syncing them back to the iPad using iTunes.

I use cloud storage to move files back and forth. There is Apple's iCloud, and many use Dropbox. Since I am a Microsoft user, I use my OneDrive account, there is a client for it in the App store.

Right out of college, I had a bunch of friends who all went to work for Commodore while that was in development. That was back when Jack Tramiel was still running the company.

You are welcome, Mike... 🙂 This will show my age but I started programming on an IBM 1620 while I was a grad student at Rice. It was the size of a dinner table and had a fraction of the power of my current Mac. No flash drives of course, not even a floppy, just punch cards. However it did help send men to the Moon!!!

The SanDisk iXpand will do some of the things you may need.

Mike, I went the Dropbox route and it has worked so well that I haven't needed to look any farther. It has handled my needs without my having to go to the "pay-for" version.
