I have a 13inch late 2009 macbook which is running Yosemite, but the computer is too slow.. according to the sets its original softer was Mountain Lion or Lion, not sure. Now, if I make a downgrade will it be faster?

I have a 13inch late 2009 10.6 macbook which is running Yosemite, but the computer is too slow, I don't even have many programs on it, and still it's slow, so I believe it's because of Yosemite.. according to the sets its original OS was Mountain Lion or Lion, not sure. Now, if I make a downgrade will it be faster? Also, by using Mountain Lion or Lion will I be able to use photoshop CC and adobe programs normally?

MacBook, OS X Yosemite (10.10.5)

Do not forget to remove Avast.

If you look at the EtreCheck output you will notice that Avast monopolized the output. A) it is using RAM you do not have to spare, B) it is increasing your CPU and Disk load which you do not have to spare, C) OS X is protecting itself <http://www.thesafemac.com/mmg-builtin/>
