kb will not work and has flashing green light...

I was attempting to clean my keyboard so I pressed the power button until the green light shut off. Once I released the power button, the green light started flashing and now the keyboard will not work and my computer cannon locate it. I took the batteries out, reinstalled them, and the green light began flashing again. What do I do to fix this problem? Thanks for any help you can provide.
