I really need help! Bootcamp Partition GONE! Loner T please Help!

Hello. I Have been using Windows 7 with Bootcamp on my Macbook Pro Late 2013 15 inch Retina 16GB 2.6GHz Core i7 since I bought the computer brand new. I turned on my mac the other day and out of nowhere, the Windows Partition was gone. The only thing that I did do differently was that I turned on FileVault and encrypted my system. I am wondering if it affected my partition because of that? I am not sure. I am nervous, though because I have all of my really important work files on the partition and I haven't been able to access them at all.

Everything I tried to do so far:

I tried plugging my MBP into my iMac and booting it in target disk mode and I couldn't find any files from the Windows partition. For some odd reason the bootcamp partition is greyed out in Disk Utilities and it is now called "disk0s4."

I have a Windows 7 disk that I was able to boot from and it was about to install Windows but I was afraid that it was going to overwrite everything so I canceled it.

When I boot my MBP now and hold alt, like I used to always have to do to get into Windows, it shows 2 "Macintosh HDs" whereas it used to show one "Macintosh HD" one "Recovery Drive" and one "Windows" drive. (I am guessing that by encrypting the drive it may have messed up the naming of the voumes... Not sure)

I have turned off FileVault, unlocked, and decrypted the system to see if it would help but no luck.

I tried hitting verify disk and then repair disk and nothing worked.

I also tried to hit mount disk and that did nothing.

Is there any way I can access the files on the partition if there is no possible way to install windows 7 again without overwriting everything?

To anyone who helps answer this, thank you in advance. I am so stuck!!!

I have been reading the forums and I saw that "Loner T" asked someone to type in these commands in terminal:

diskutil list

diskutil cs list

sudo gpt -vv -r show /dev/disk0

sudo fdisk /dev/disk0

Check my terminal results below: I also attached the text file of the terminal session.

This is strange. These are the results when no other drives are plugged in. If I plug in an external drive, this shows:

Hello Loner T,

I diconnected the 2TB external drive and tried booting from the Windows 7 Disk I have. It takes me to the blue screen with the windows symbol and stays on that screen forever. The cd stops spinning and then my fan starts spinning so fast and so loud. I tried another windows cd and it didn't work either. There is another option to boot EFI I forget exactly what it said but if I hold ALT while booting I can either boot from Mac HD, Windows CD or EFI boot, which I don't know what that is.

What should I try next?

May 13, 2016 11:21 AM in response to Loner T

***UPDATE***

I got the Repair Window to finish but it didn't fix boot camp. I still can't boot into Bootcamp. WHen I restart my computer and hold ALT, only the Mac drives show, that's it. I tried "refreshing" the system on the windows boot CD, but it says my Bootcamp partition is LOCKED... I have Paragan installed and working properly. The drive is now Read/Write enabled. I just do not know if because it is locked, this is why I can't REPAIR the startup issue?

Note: On the "Install Windows" page, it says Repair Windows on the bottom left, I clicked that, then clicked advanced, and thats where it says repair startup problem or whatever it said. Is that the repair I should have been trying to run?

May 13, 2016 12:21 PM in response to djrelentt

Paragon will cause more problems than it can solve. It conflicts with Apple drivers.

In Repair Console for Windows, can you get to a command prompt? If yes, you need clear read-only attributes using diskpart commands within the Repair Console. Paragon cannot do that. Please see https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc766465(v=ws.10).aspx and the attribute command.

Once you have cleared the read-only attribute, please use https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/927392 and boootrec.exe for correct specific issues. You must be in the C: disk to be able to fix MBR. If you need to /rebuildBCD, please ensure you are in the correct folder and verify that you can see the BCD file before you backup and repair.

May 13, 2016 1:02 PM in response to Loner T

I just tried doing what you said. I cannot focus on the partition to clear the read-only attributes. I saw the volumes and disks and there is no C: disk... Even if I use the file explorer while using this windows disk, it shows all of my files gone. I shut it off and went back into Mac, and all of the files are fine, in the BootCamp drive, which I can access. So strange...

I think when I encrypted this whole drive, FileVault locked this partition. I don't know what to do.

May 13, 2016 1:39 PM in response to Loner T

I have figured it out. I am running the DiskPart command and I am now looking at the 3 partitions, which are on my drive. I am still unsure on how to clear read-only attributes. Am I trying to clear those attributes on the partition alone or the entire disk? I don't ever use the command prompt on windows so I have to be careful.

May 13, 2016 1:56 PM in response to djrelentt

If you type diskpart.exe, you will be in the diskpart utility. Once at the prompt, check which volume has the C: letter assigned. You may need to select disk 0 in diskpart.

attributes volume clear readonly YourVolumeNameHere

Now, you can go to C: and then run X:bootrec.exe (X: is your boot media. Please verify that is indeed X:)

I really need help! Bootcamp Partition GONE! Loner T please Help!
