App to view photos stored on NAS?

Are there any apps for the Apple TV 4G that can be used to display photos that are stored on a NAS? I can see the photos on VLC but when I try to open them they don't actually display. I'm aware that Plex can be used for photos, but I'm looking for a solution that doesn't involve having to have my laptop on whenever I want to see the photos and the NAS I have (Western Digital MyCloud) doesn't support Plex.
