redeeming a movie to iTunes that i already redeemed?

It's not clear what you mean by "redeem". Perhaps you mean "download". If that's what you mean, you could download a movie using iTunes that you purchased from iTunes (with the same Apple ID) on a different (iOS) device. However, if you rented the movie from the iTunes store on an iOS device and downloaded it to that device already, you may not download it to iTunes on your computer.

Not unless the movie specifically states the download code is good for iTunes.

Even then, some movies with codes for both can only be downloaded in one or the other.
