Why so bloody difficult? Why doesn't Applejust make blue the default color?
"Hello Apple, are you listening?"
Not here, in this user-to-user forum. If you want to speak to Apple, use the Provide Pages Feedback item in the Pages menu in Pages, and make a feature request.

Select the first instance of text with a hyperlink. Then Format menu : Font : Show Fonts. On the Font panel, there is a button for underline. At the bottom of that associated menu is a color menu item. Click that, and a color chooser will appear. Find the shade of blue that you want for your link and when you do, your selected hyperlink will change from a black!! underline to your blue color.
Don't deselect this hyperlink that now has a blue underline. You will observe that Character Styles shows Link (black) in the selector. Click, and then click the bold, blue + symbol to add a new style for your blue hyperlink. You can be creative and just call it Blue Link. This new character style is only valid in your current document. From the Format menu, select Copy Style, and then as you select every black underlined hyperlink, you can select Format menu : Paste Style to update each one.
Still not done. If you want a permanent blue hyperlink in Pages v5.6.2, then you will need to get it into a template for reuse. I suggest that you create a new document from the Blank template, add all of your desired character, paragraph, and list styles to it, and then save it as your own custom Blank template.
Jim doesn't know, any more than the rest of us non-Apple employees that the Pages product team does not listen too. Personally, I would like the link annotation restored in Preview, but its been years...
Agreed - I created a blank document Template, Blue Links, which does this. But why was this necessary when every other document created by Apple, Microsoft Adobe, etc. shows a link as blue and underlined? Hello Apple, are you listening?
Thanks, Jim.
Well, I just submitted a Pages feedback enhancement request for that defacto (W3C) blue (#0000CC) unvisited hyperlink color. The response is predictable. đ
