Since upgrade to ios 9.3.1, there is no longer a search box in Gmail on my iPad 2.
Also, there is no settings option. Anyone having the same problem?
Does Apple read these community questions /problems?

This screen shot comes from the gmail app's writeup in the iTunes Store.
It shows the search bar in the upper left.
Again, from the gmail writeup in the iTunes Store, the settings (gearwheel) appears here:
Try this
Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings
Are using GMail via Safari Browser or Gmail App
I am using the gmail app
Then Try Reinstalling GMail App or use Apple Mail App
