iPad Pro 9.7 Bricked after 9.3.2

Tried to install 9.3.2 on a new (1 month old) iPad Pro.

Update hangs forever.

Then it gives instruction to connect cable to itunes.

iTunes gives message to restore then download update, then just dies.

Is there not some sort of quality control of updates at Apple?

Bricking new hardware is not something that should ever happen.

My new policy,

Never install an update until 3 weeks after release and a through search for problems

Bloody annoying

So finally this new 9.3.2 for iPad Pro did resuscitate my iBrick. It loaded the 9.3.2. It went fine, no problem. However I immediately entered DFU mode and downgraded to the 9.3.1 that was working fine. Now it is recovering through iCloud. Hope I will get it back in an hour. Will wait with 9.3.2 and update only if it is reliable.

Have you tried a backup to iTunes and tried an erase and reset of your iPad, then do a restore of your data from a iTunes backup?

How about a hard reset of your iPad by holding the sleep/wake button and Home button until the screen goes black and the Apple logo appears?

If no joy,

Take your iPad into Apple and see if they will give you a new replacement with the current working iOS on it. That is why you have an AppleCare warranty.

Backup your iPad to iTunes on a computer first.

Good Luck!

Thanks, I have benchmarked my iPad with my iPhone on the same wifi network. I have found that when I get a freeze (extremely slow load speeds) I can do the same operation on my iPhone without delay While the Pro is still loading. The problem with the iPad Pro seems mostly to do with slow loading but my backups failed on the last one due to random cable 'disconnection' issues.

Have you tried your iPad Pro on another WiFi network other than your own?

Again, I ask, is this an Internet issue on Wifi or are apps that don't use Wifi slow, too!

IS your entire iPad slow or just while on the Internet?

Please be more specific!

Is your Mail app slow in retrieving email?

Also, ignore how the Apple website forums respond.

Apple has completely revamped/redesigned these forums and we are all experiencing some slowness on this site.

If your iPad is functioning normally on its own when not accessing the Internet, then there is a possibilty of a local network issue.

If you have any documentation or know how to access your MODEM/router's software, you need to to check its settings and maybe change the Wifi/MODEM reception channel to some other good reception channel other than channel 6 which most MODEM/routers are set to, by default.

You could, also, simply reset the MODEM/ router by just unplugging it for 30 seconds or so and plug the unit back in to see if this solves any possible MODEM/router issues.

Do you have anyone other family member that has their own local network setup to test your iPad Pro on?

You could take it back to Apple, again for another replacement, but before replacing it, see if your iPad has better speed on the Internet through the Apple Store's own free, public WiFi access.

You need to test your iPad on another WiFi network to see if the issue with your iPad is, FOR SURE, the iPad or your home network settings.

Good Luck to you.
