I am at breaking point here and have looked at countless help forums but there is no photos tab on my Itunes and I have tried all the sidebar tricks but nothing appears at the top or along the sidebar. I have music, apps, summary, books etc but no photos! help! Losing my mind!

When you connect a device and select from its icon in the top bar then there should be an entry in the left hand column that control syncing of photos from the computer to the device. Otherwise there is nowhere else that a photos tab shows up. You cannot add photos to an iTunes library itself, not does iTunes manage copying photos taken on a device into the computer.

There is no "photos" library in iTunes. You can sync photos (through iTunes) to devices, but that "tab" is on the settings screen for the device. If this is related to the iPhone in your profile info, select iPhone in iTunes (click its device button on horizontal bar) to show its settings screen in iTunes window. Along the left side (in the sidebar), under Settings, click Photos. To the right, the iPhone's Photos settings screen is shown, where you set up syncing for photos. Is that what you're looking for?
