Safari with question marks instead of text

Several websites in Safari 9.1 showing many question marks instead of text. I have done everything suggested by Apple and nothing.I have Imac (late 2009) OS X El Capitan 10.11.4.

Did you really have a problem with Safari showing question marks because of PS fonts? I don't think a browser would ever wind up using them, but would be interested to hear.

YES! Finally! Thank you. This worked and very little busy-work after to restore my User fonts.
