How do I reset play counts in iTunes 12.4.0.119?

I just spoke to Apple Care. Reset Plays has been removed! She said they're aware people are upset about that and may bring it back in the next update. I hate to sound like a conspiracy nut, but lately it seems that they're purposely getting rid of the stuff that made it easy to manage large music libraries to push people to streaming. Lately? I can't remember a time when Apple didn't mess with stuff like that. I really wish they would take a more "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" attitude sometimes instead of thinking they need to change things in every update. I'm all for making things look nicer/improving ease of use. Removing features, not so much. Even if it's an obscure feature, someone somewhere might really love it, and what's the harm in it being there? I'm still annoyed that you can no longer copy/paste album art.

By the way, how do you use that script? I went to the link, but there doesn't seem to be anything to download.

Sorry, the one I posted is for Windows but turingtest2 (who's saved us with these scripts) put the link for the Mac version on this thread.

Once you've followed the link right-click on the name of the script to download it. To use the script select some tracks in iTunes and then double-click on the script. More details at the top of the scripts page.

Well, that's just special. Why on Earth would they remove that?! Hopefully said update will be here very, very soon!

You are the man. Apple is quickly becoming my least favorite entity in existence. Thankfully you are there to fix their nonsense.
