If this happens again, delete Safari cookies.

From your Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Privacy tab then click: Remove All Website Data

Then quit and relaunch Safari.

Safari > Preferences > Extensions

Select extensions, uncheck boxes beside “Enable Extension” and test.

Enable Extensions one by one and test.

To uninstall any extension, select it and click the “Uninstall” button.

I had the same thing happen while visiting Bleacher Report as well. The solution I'm going to personally use is to not visit Bleacher Report anymore as it seems to be related specifically to something from their site. I won't miss all that clicking anyway!

I had the exact same issue with Bleacher Report just minutes ago. I don't know what it was but I am staying away from Bleacher Report from now on.

Just happened to me visiting cnn.com

I got it linking to Bleacher Report from CNN, so I assume the problem is on their end since we all seem to be getting it at the same place

CNN.com today for me, too.

its a plug in or pop up from BR....i think its some ad they are running. It doesn't happen on ALL pages. I had it happen on "first person every team should ditch this off season" under NBA.

Obviously some advertiser is making a PC only pop up ad or something, not caring about Mac....well I don't want to give them my business anyway.

I never had it happen on CNN....yet
