iTunes Store not displaying correctly - oversized images - Vers 12.4

I know this thread is old but no real answer was provided.

I tracked the problem to the "Flicks" utility installed on my laptop with a touchscreen. In my case a Dell Latitude E5540. As soon as I turned off Flicks from the taskbar and re-opened iTunes it was displaying the right-hand sidebar correctly again. I never use the touchscreen and in turn never use flicks so I didn't investigate further to see if there is an update to flicks or not which could have fixed it. Hopefully this helps someone searching for the same problem.

I'm running windows 7. I experienced the same problem after upgrading to 12.4.0.119. I can resolve it by going to the adjust resolution for my monitor and then click on "make text or other items larger or smaller". I've always had mine set to medium 125%. If I change it to smaller 100% the problem is resolved. But then everything else is too small for me. So I'm kind of stuck as to which setting to use. Never had this problem before, only after the upgrade.

I've been having the same issue too. I tried to reinstall but the problem is still happening.

What you show in your screen images is exactly what I see. And yes, I get the quick flash of everything fitting but then goes larger. But I just want to be clear that I'm not talking about screen resolution. When you go to the screen resolution page, there is an option to make text bigger or smaller. When you click on it you go to another page where you can set image and text size. At least in windows 7. Normally I run at medium 125% which makes all the icons on my desk top larger. It appears that with this latest upgrade of iTunes it also makes all the images and text in iTunes larger. Thus the problem with the app store. When I set the size of my images and text to small 100%, the icons on my desk top are smaller. But now everything in iTunes is also smaller. Even the tabs that worked before, everything is smaller. So in the app store with everything smaller, I can see the bars to scroll left/right and up/down. Well, that is what is happening with me.

WOW! After all I've been through trying to fix this. Thanks to you everything is back in to alignment in iTunes store, and I can see the Music Quick Links! Of course, now I need to get use to adjusting other websites as I go so I can read them.. It's a give a take world we live in (ha ha) 😁

Thanks for posting your question. This has been so frustrating. Kudos to Level 1 user ma5200 for a work around resolution! Not even the Apple Support team could help me.

Thanks for this solution. It does solve it but I really don't like the small font (sorry old age eyes). I'll change it if I need to go to the store otherwise all the other dialogs are fine. I hope Apple will take note of this issue and fix it so it adjusts to the setting in the future as it did before. Otherwise I won't be visiting the store much. 🙂

Shrinking the type so it's too small everywhere is not a "solution". Apple has messed this up, period. I' m often reluctant to upgrade and this is why.
I posted this same complaint several days ago and haven't heard peep from the company, which needs to send a fix for this.

I was really hoping your brilliant solution would work for me. Alas, I've "upgraded" to Windows 10. Among its surprises is the absence of the Smaller/Medium/Larger choices you illustrated. Here's what you get now when you go to Adjust Resolution and click the link to adjust type sizes:

There is no longer a global command. And none of the choices in the drop-down list seem relevant.

If I find a solution that works in Windows 10, I'll post it.

I was really hoping ma5200's great solution would work for me. Alas, I've "upgraded" to Windows 10, and apparently things work differently than they do in Windows 7. For one thing, the global Smaller/Medium/Larger radio buttons do not appear. In Windows 10, when you go to Control Panel > Display > Adjust Resolution, and then click the link to adjust type sizes, you get a drop-down list instead of the Smaller/Medium/Larger radio buttons. When you then click the "use these display settings" link, you’re brought to a page that has a slider that looks promising:

I thought that "Change the size of text" slider would do the same thing as the Smaller/Medium/Larger radio buttons in Windows 7, but it's disabled in Windows 10.

If I find a solution that works in Windows 10, I'll post it.

A little over a week ago iTunes pushed an upgrade to correct the issue, and it is working for me now. Did you not get this upgrade?

Before the upgrade I had changed my text from 125% to 100%, and was then able to view the music quick link, scroll bars, etc.

I also have Windows 10. If you still need to change to text, from the screen print you provided select on the hyperlink 'custom scaling Level" and there will be a drop down for percentages.

Thanks for your post, rstcats. Yes, I did the iTunes update, but that didn't change anything. After reading your note about Windows 10, however, I tried to enable the slider that's working on your system. The trick was to first disable the custom setting that I was locked on to:

One does that by clicking the "Turn off custom scaling and sign out" link. That enables the slider below the link, and that slider lets you set the size of text, etc. The iTunes Store now appears correctly at 100% and 125%, and the links now work. I'll have to futz with ClearType and other settings to get text as crisp as it used to be under the previous custom setting.
