Safe finder has taken over my browser search engine; clicking on the "Safe finder' logo only invites me to download more malware. How do I get rid of this.

This worked for me. After navigating to /Library/LaunchAgents I saw three entries from the last month. After deleting these one at a time my symptoms went away.

In your first screen shot, delete the spotify file.

About halfway down your procedure, you have a statement:
