windows 10 computer does not recognize iPhone 6
I did sync one time then it just stoped syncing. iTunes does not recognize my iPhone. Windows recognizes my iPhone as a storage device.

Try the steps in this article. Deleting the driver often helps.

If it does not help try uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes but please make sure to follow the directions exactly as shown below.

Thank you for your help Wjosten I tried your suggestion that was not my problem. it turned out to be a Driver issue Windows *slaps head*

On another thread I found a very simple solution which worked for me.
Make sure the iPhone is unlocked and in home screen... then Windows 10 recognizes it.
If it is locked, which it usually is if you are not actively using at the moment you connect to the USB, then the iPhone is not recognized.
NOTE: After connecting, if you happen to leave the iPhone idle long enough so that it relocks, then Windows 10 again loses connectivity.
