Whatsapp goes white screen, please fix this 😞

Tried aeriios way but it allows a few seconds of usage before again getting stuck. Seems like there is no proper fix to this yet....

Even I faced the same problem today. After I accessed from Desktop (WhatsApp Web) I could see a message which has huge(really huge) text which is the culprit. Looks like WhatsApp on iOS is not able to handle it properly. Where as same message works fine in WhatsApp in Android. I copied the text and checked the size of the message, its nearly 100KB. Lot of blank spaces between lines. WhatsApp on Android initially shows few lines of text and then shows "show more..." link at end. To show some more text we can click on "show more...". This continuous until it shows complete text. Where as in WhatsApp on iOS, it could not show completely(on iPhone 5) where as in iPhone6 it looks hung and show blank screen, may be its processing internally (forever).

Found a way to fix it. Apparently it is caused by the long forward mentioned previously in this forum. (The super long one with emojis that says it is 1st of June!)

There is no need to reinstall or delete or lose your data. The fix is easy as follows:

1) Disable everything but your camera. Make sure you are on WiFi

2) When you open Whatsapp, you should be on the settings screen and from there you can enable Whatsapp Web.

3) Find and delete that message.

4) App starts working again!!!

So Lame.

i had this problem for 3 days and finally i came up with the solution.(iphone 6 ios 10.1.1)

suddenly whatsapp crashed and the white screen issue started.

i reinstalled whatsapp and typed my other phone number. only then whatsapp came alive.

after seeing that, i went to whatsapp setting and switched back to the oroginal phone number.

white screen whatsapp solved....

I have also tried all steps specified, nothing works for me. When i open the app, its just showing a White(blank) screen and it close down after a few seconds.

Same problem for me also..Please fix ASAP... 😟

The issue was with spam message sent by one of my friends. I deleted from client what's app.

NNow its working fine as expected.
