Country Codes?

We were living in Singapore for the last two years and I bought a Time Capsule while we were there. Now back in the States, I have no option for US under country code does this affect the network performance? What is country code anyway? Do I need to buy a new Time Capsule? Thanks for any help.

Apple sells products which are regionalized for different areas of the world. A really good programmer with access to your Time Capsule might be able to modify the settings to allow the product to think that it had a U.S. country code, but it is probably not necessary since the wireless in the U.S and Singapore are very similar.

As far as power, the Time Capsule will operate on 100-240 Volts and 50/60 Hz automatically, so as long as you have the right wall AC adapter, things will be fine in that regard. You could also buy a new power cord for the Time Capsule if you don't want to use adapters. The Time Capsule uses a standard "figure of eight" power cord.

You should be OK using the Time Capsule "as is" as far as wireless. Compare guidelines in the U.S. and Singapore in the link below and you will see that there are very little differences.
