0S-X allows Verizon PDF print file privileges=none. ?

OS 10.11.4 sees the PDF's, created by Verizon as copies of monthly cellular bills, as not having an Owner. Why? Is this possible? What do do?

I'm on a late 2011 MBP with 4GB and lots of disk space.

It will not permit me (as Admin) to take ownership ... I need 12 monthly bills, so this is a big deal to me.

Are these PDFs in Mail messages as attachments, not in Mail, but in the local filesystem (your home directory) of your boot drive, or somewhere else? Can you open them with Preview or Adobe Acrobat Reader now?
