No "now playing" bar in music app on my iPad
With iOS 9.3.1 running the music app, my music option there is no now playing bar at the bottom of the screen. Where did it go? How do I find out what is playing?

playing a song will do it. i was listening to my Apple TV via wireless headphones and didn't notice that the music I was listening to originated on the Apple TV. Played a song in music and the bar showed. 😝
