Home button not working even with assistive touch

H

Hello to you all.

I seem to be having a problem with my iPhone 5 right now. Notifications are not appearing (phone stills vibrate, silent or not), siro doesn't work (Yet again, vibration works as if everything was fine.) and single-click home button doesn't work, both manually and with assistive touch. Double click works fine, triple clicking too. I've tried home button calibration but it doesn't work, and since it does double and triple click, i dont think it's broken. The thing is, even home on assistove touch does nothing. Please help me find a solution 🙂 thank you!

Did you already try to force restart the phone by holding the sleep and home button for about 10sec, until the Apple logo comes back again? You will not lose data by doing this, but it can cure some glitches.

If the force restart can't be done because the home button is not reacting, set it back to factory settings, explained in this article:

Thanks for your response

Unfortunatly, my sleep button has been dead for almost 2 years, and trying to force reset it with the assistive touch didn't work. One good news is that after I just plugged it to charge for the night, everything was fine this morning. I guess the home program was completely out yesterday. Good thing I wont have to reset it with iTunes!
