Cant connect my iPad to anything via Bluetooth, help please!

hi all, running an iPad 4th gen wifi. I have previously had my Fitbit, my LG-G3 phone and my Kensington keyfolio expert Bluetooth keyboard for iPad paired and connected via Bluetooth. I have installed the latest version of iOS and all updates have been done. Everything was up and running and wonderful. The battery went flat on my keyboard the night before last so I disconnected from Bluetooth and plugged it in to charge, just as I have done every other time. I had it on charge till last night when I tried to reconnect to my iPad and it failed. (long story short there seems to be an issue with the keyboard and it seems to be frozen if that's even possible, I'm letting the battery run down then will try again with it.) while trying to reconnect my keyboard I have now realised that my Fitbit and my phone were paired with my iPad but not connected. I tried several times to connect and restarted everything, tried connecting from both sides with no luck. It seems pretty clear I have a blue tooth issue. I have also done a hard reset on my iPad and it still wont connect. Anyone have any idea what I can try, I'm at a loss.

Thank you for your help.

  1. Make sure each device you are trying to pair is in "discoverable mode"
  2. Control Center - tap bluetooth off and on again - 8-10 times
  3. Force restart the iPhone - After shutting down all open apps using the app switcher - invoked by quick double press of the home button and swiping up on each app till it flies off the screen. Hold the sleep/wake and home buttons down together till you see  logo - then release and allow normal boot up
  4. Update to the latest iOS if not done
  5. Settings -General - Reset - Reset Network settings will need to re enter WiFi passwords
  6. If Apple pencil is connected - "Forget it" and try again
  7. Backup the device to iTunes - Restore as NEW (not from backup) - see if problem resolves - if yes - restore backup
  8. Make a "Genius" appointment at an Apple Store, or go to another authorized service provider.
