I do not want facebook to be able to link to my CONTACTS at all... especially not via Calendar!!
How do I stop it? According to Calendar ‘HELP” facebook and linkedin use Read Only explicits permissions to
bypass all efforts at Group exclusion!

You are completely misunderstanding how the Contacts application works. The Contacts application can show your Facebook and LinkedIn contacts. It does NOT work the other direction. Facebook and LinkedIn is NOT reading your contacts from the Contacts application.
If you go to System Preferences -> Internet Accounts -> Facebook you can deselect the Contacts in the list on the right. Then your Facebook contacts will not be shown when you go to the Contacts application.
You can do the same for LinkedIn.
Well I would fix that too but that is OLD.... Messenger .. DOES NOT HAVE A way to change settings even now.!
Everything on your Facebook is now linked to Messenger. ...and Contact apps are Read Only
you cannot change it.
Go to System Preferences > Internet Accounts. Find Facebook, and uncheck the "Contacts" and "Calendar" options.
NOTE went into facebook settings and turned off the PLATFORM linker to apps, games etc. Hope that works.

Just confirming, that is an issue on an iPhone (and probably any iOS device) but not a Mac.
Ah ha! .... Thanks I clicked the Contacts Calendars for Facebook Internet account (Note twitter does not have them) ...
Think I will restart and be sure they are gone... Thanks for answer.
