I have just upgraded my iMac and I am now using El Capitan. I want to keep using Adobe CS6, Illustrator seems ok so far but Photoshop is rather sticky, and many of the keyboard shortcuts are not working, or only working occasionally. Does anyone know a fix for this? Many thanks.

The common fix (that works most of time) after upgrading to El Capitan is to uninstall the CS6 apps and reinstall them.
IF you have a Wacom tablet connected,
you may need the "WhiteWindowWorkaround.plugin" patch, which you can find at Adobes official website.

CS6 will not uninstall from El Capitan
Sorry, can't explain that one. I have the CC apps on my Mac Pro, and a bunch of the CS6 apps on our other Mac Pro, also running El Capitan. I have no trouble installing or uninstalling the CS6 apps.
Was working fine until I upgraded to El Capitan. Bridge still worked but Photoshop would not launch. Tried to uninstall but it would not do so and now neither works. Must be some corruption somewhere but am at a loss as to what to do next. Seems like may have to completely reinstall OSX but now presumably it would be Sierra which might make things worse?
Do you have a full backup to restore, which will at least get you back to where you were before the OS upgrade? If so, you may want to consider that so you can get back to work, and a working configuration.
Some have reported installing the full OS a second time cleared up odd problems like this. It can't hurt anything to try installing El Capitan again.
Personally, I won't install one major OS over another. I always create a new partition and install it there. Then add all of my third party software as I have time. That allows at least two major benefits:
1) I can keep working in the previous OS without affecting it. Then switch when I'm ready.
2) Any issues between the new OS and third party software won't throw me since I can simply wait until they're fixed. I still have the previous OS to boot to.
