how to reproduce sound with internal keyboard?

I'm guessing that you're talking about using the "Computer" keyboard?

If so, just press the Caps-Lock button while in Logic and it will bring up a small window, in which the representations of the Keys are shown.

ok I think you need to spend some time reading the manual and doing the logic tutorials. you prob don't have a fundamental understanding of how tracks and instruments work in logic yet.

if you are trying to 'hear' a sound, and your midi interface and controller keyboard are working (you can see midi notes being input in logic), then hearing a sound can mean a few different things. are you expecting to hear the sounds that your external keyboard makes itself? or, are you expecting to hear the sounds of an internal logic instrument? in that case you need to actually select an audio instrument track, and assign an audio instrument to it in the audio instrument insert box thing. you'll find this in the manual, or ask again if you still are having trouble.

btw, if you are trying to play 'sounds' on the general midi tracks that are automatically created in the logic default song, then that won't work. they are just default template midi tracks if you happen to have a GM instrument connected. what you want is audio instrument tracks.

this looks like it might be another of the weekly threads that start here when new users are tricked by logic's (illogical) and useless GM instrument that always appears when you start a new virgin autoload. if this is the case, can we have a STICKY on this at the forum, to explain that the GM instrument is not the audio instruments that people are expecting, esp if they are coming from garage band. it would be a lot quicker and easier to help people if we could just point them to a sticky that explains this confusing pitfall to new users. seriously, at least once a week this comes up.
