Apple Software Update (version 2.2.0.150) for Windows notifies that new software is available from Apple each time it runs: It wants to install the latest version of iTunes — despite already having the latest version of iTunes installed. This has been an issue for months now; about since around the time I upgraded to Windows 10 in the Fall of 2015.

I suspect you'll need to do a full tear down and rebuild of iTunes. Apple's software doesn't seem to react well to an in place upgrade of Windows. See the second box of Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates for details.
