How do I loop just one section of my slideshow?

I have a slideshow of about 50 slides that I'd like to move through manually. There are a couple of natural stopping points in the slideshow where I'd like a series of slides just to loop on their own in the background while I talk, then proceed to the next slide when I click to move forward.


Is it possible to have a manual slideshow that had a loop like this in the middle?

Keynote can not loop a group of slides, it can only loop the whole presentation.


There are two workarounds for this:


divide the presentation up into separate files, (those to be looped and those to play normally)
loop the slides in the appropriate presentations: Inspector > Document > Document and leave the other files unlooped:

play the presentations one after the other in the correct order.




2 - export a video for each set of slides to be seen looping, then place those videos in the Keynote presentation at the appropriate place
set the video to loop in the Inspector:
