Software Restore discs for a PowerMac G4 (June 2003 MDD)

Does anyone know what the part numbers for the install discs that would have been supplied with a June 2003 MDD? I refer to the very last G4 Apple ever released, configured by default with a Single 1.25 CPU and could boot OS 9 natively.

I've done a lot of digging on this subject and from what I've found, it seems like there was only one disc supplied. I'm not sure about this though but it seems previous models of the G4 apparently came with multiple discs as part of the software package, such as the restore disc and a seperate Apple Hardware Test disc. But as I say as far as I can tell, the late MDD's models came with a solitary DVD that had all of it on there including the Software installations for OS X (10.2.3) and the OS 9.2.2 classic environment as well as Apple Hardware Test (version 2.0.2 apparently was only for MDD Macs released in 2003). Also hidden on the disc was an image called OS 9 general that actually had a specific bootable version of OS 9.2.2 on it.

The only part number related to this that I can come up with is I *think* 691-4161-A. I've found several references to earlier part numbers but they seem to be related to earlier models of the G4 and in fact earlier models of the MDD too. So, does anyone know if any of this is that correct? Thanks.

Hello BDAqua. I have actually already come across that post before but hadn't noticed he'd posted his Macs serial number, a check shows it was built in July 2003 so can't argue with that. Even s things like that and other info I find on the net confuses me to no end really, though I think it probably shows the part number I posted is either wrong or for an earlier version of the disc. This of course assuming the part numbers were incremental. Looks like I was sort of right about the disc only being solitary though? Seems like there was a second disc but it was just a software optional extras, it wasn't Restore 1 Restore 2, etc.

I do wish Apple would have a bloody support article that just tells you what software part numbers are for what Model of Mac... I get the impression if I'd have phoned them 7 or 8 years ago when these old Macs were just about still supported they might very well have been able to send me a replacement disc or even tell me the part numbers... I'm guessing that's not an option anymore. Especially seeing as I've found quite a few posts related to mine where people have linked to Apple Knowledgebase articles that no longer seem to exist.
