How do I eject my camera after importing photos to iPhoto when there is no disc icon on the desktop and no eject in the finder file menu?

You can eject the device several ways, below are a couple of examples:
If you don't see the device on your desktop look in Finder's sidebar. If you see it there then either right click it and select eject or you will also see an upside down triange with a line under it symbol, this symbol is the eject symbol. Click it and the device should eject and disappear from Finder.
You can also open Disk Utility (Applications -Utilities - Disk Utility) and find the device and then eject it from DU.
