Is it safe to use WebGuard which can be downloaded from ITuens on my Mac Mini. I do not wish to cause myself any problems, your help will much appreciated as is always.

I don't know how effective or safe it is, but you don't need to pay for what is basically an adblocker when you can get one for free.
For Safari:
For Firefox or Chrome
Adblock Plus or uBlock Origin. With ABP, you will need to install filter subscriptions, EasyPrivacy/EasyList. There are others https://adblockplus.org/subscriptions

In Safari>Preferences>Security, be sure to check "Block pop-up windows."
Thanks very much WZZZ your advice is very much appreciated. I have used Safari to block pop up windows. and used all the security on the Mac. Living in a country where the internet technology is relatively new I tend to be over cautious. Once again thanks for your help, all you wonderful supporter do so much to help us. I was at Apple on Thursday, I happened to mention about the apple supporters to the technician, surprisingly, he said that there are not many people who know about the Apple supporters and how much they can learn from using the discussion.apple. As for myself, I use the supporters religiously to get their advice and help. Thank you again
