Photos have horizontal line artefacts when shared to iCloud shared albums

I have this too. Mine show up on shared albums. Even if it was taken with a dslr, or even a pano with an iPhone. Only some pics have them. Originals do not have them either. Even ones edited. I currently shared them from an album from my iPad pro. It may be just the ones I have edited on my iPad, and then shared. Hope Apple fixes this soon.....

I upgraded to iOS 9.3.2 last week and quickly noticed a lot of my photographs showing these artefacts. Having just bought a Canon 5D mk3 I was concerned it was a defect in my camera but photos already on FOM my 70d showed these, though I had not noticed them before. It seems to be isolated to JPEGs and not Camera RAW files.

I have noticed, just recently, the same lines on my photos displayed on my iPad2 running iOS 9.3.2.

Like your example the lines are on the "narrow" dimension of the photo, on the right in "landscape" view but, for any photos of mine that are in the "portrait" mode the lines are at the bottom - the narrow dimension.

The camera images are okay when displayed on my PC or iPhone 6, when read from my Google Photos storage site, so I believe this clearly points to the iPad as the source of the problem.

Any help in fixing this would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry to hear that. I had saved a few photos with the problem on my iPad - they had the exact same artifacts as the OP's sample pic. When I saw that 9.3.3 was available, I looked at my samples - they still had the issue - then performed the update. I then re-reviewed my sample photos and every one of them displayed correctly. At least on my device, it appears the update fixed things...

It seems I spoke too soon. After a full day of editing and transferring .jpgs to my iPad, the short horizontal lines on one edge of the photo have appeared in two of my images . All the affected images that had already been on my iPad just prior to my 9.3.3 update display correctly now, but apparently something in the process of transferring photos to the iPad introduces the artifact problem.

Have you tried deleting the photos from the Sharing album, remove the individual, then re-set-up Sharing again, and try again to see if it's occurring?

I just returned from vacation, and I have this same problem with my photos. Have you been able to figure out a solution yet?

I had those same artifacts, starting with a recent iOS update, on my iPad (4th gen). I installed the new update 9.3.3 this morning and it appears the problem has been fixed!

I upgraded to 9.3.3 the other day and still have the problem.
