QTVR

I want to view a QTVR on a page that hasn't updated its content to HTML5 or anything else. The Apple support pages suggest its possible, but the instructions don't work for me.

Any suggestions?

iMac, OS X El Capitan (10.11.5)

Good day tahm77!

Thank you for using the Apple Support Communities and for trying out the suggestions on the Apple Support pages already! So it still won't allow you to play any QTVR media formats? No worries if that's the case, we have some things here that need to be done so that you can play them.

Since QuickTime Player X is what El Capitan has, there are some media formats that it'll no longer play. However, all you'd need to do is download and install QuickTime Player 7 so that you'll be able to view the QTVR media. Here's an article that gives a little bit of information about it and also a link to download QuickTime Player 7.

Installing QuickTime Player 7 on your Mac

Download QuickTime Player 7 for Mac OS X v10.6.3 or later

Take care and make it an awesome day!
