QTVR
I want to view a QTVR on a page that hasn't updated its content to HTML5 or anything else. The Apple support pages suggest its possible, but the instructions don't work for me.
Any suggestions?

Good day tahm77!
Thank you for using the Apple Support Communities and for trying out the suggestions on the Apple Support pages already! So it still won't allow you to play any QTVR media formats? No worries if that's the case, we have some things here that need to be done so that you can play them.
Since QuickTime Player X is what El Capitan has, there are some media formats that it'll no longer play. However, all you'd need to do is download and install QuickTime Player 7 so that you'll be able to view the QTVR media. Here's an article that gives a little bit of information about it and also a link to download QuickTime Player 7.
Installing QuickTime Player 7 on your Mac
Download QuickTime Player 7 for Mac OS X v10.6.3 or later
Take care and make it an awesome day!
Thank you Johann.
I have installed the QT player per your link, very easy.
However, the page still shows "Missing Plugin". ... ? Safari isn't connected the page to the new player.
Perfect, glad that you were able to get it installed easily!
Now to the next part of getting this to work. Since the plug-in isn't enabled for the recent versions of OS X, what we'd need to do is get it enabled again. This article here goes through the steps on how to enable it:
If your web browser says that it's missing the QuickTime plug-in
Have a great weekend!
Thanks again. In my Library/Internet Plugins folder, though, there's no Disabled Plugins... and no Quicktime Plugin either as far as I can see ... ?
No worries! Normally it will show in there after opening QuickTime 7 and quitting/opening Safari.
Since it still isn't showing in there, the best option at this point would be to contact Apple Support through this link:
Cheers!
