Encrypting Windows 10 Bootcamp Partition
Hey all!
First off, thanks for any help that anyone can offer!
I've been digging around online for any help regarding Encrypting the Windows 10 partition on a MacBook Pro.
From what I've read online, it seems that if the primary OSX partition is encrypted with FileVault; the bootcamp partition will break (unable to log into Windows anymore). If the BootCamp partition is encrypted with BitLocker; the OSX partition will break (unable to log into the OSX partition).
If the above statements are true, the most desirable (and seemingly only workable solution for my situation) is to re-create the BootCamp partition to be primary (take up most HDD space, leave 5-10gb for OSX), Install Windows 10, Encrypt the drive with BitLocker and never log into OSX again.
Is this line of thought right? It's a little hard to find information on this specific set of scenarios.
To help, here's my "in stone" requirements:
- I need Windows 10, can't do work without it
- I would like OSX, but can do without it.
- I can't change laptop or hardware, the MBP is my only option
- I must encrypt whatever my daily driver is to be
