Icloud and Outlook 2016

I have used Icloud for windows for the last several years over several computers. all has worked perfect syncing calendar/contacts with my IPhone. I have yet another new computer running outlook 2016 and windows 10. I have downloaded Icloud for windows but am not able to sync outlook. in fact, the "Online" refresh/sync button does not show up in the tool bar for outlook as it has always been there in past versions.

any ideas?

Hey, clong929!

I know how important it is to be sure you are able to sync your computer to iCloud. Without knowing what steps you've tried to troubleshoot the issue, you might want to take a look at this article here: Get help using Outlook with iCloud for Windows.

Also, check out this article: Customize the Outlook Toolbar, Ribbon or QAT

Outlook 2010 is the first version that completely eliminated the standard toolbars. Office 2010 adds the ability to easily customize the ribbon (along with the quick access toolbar) and export it as a backup or to share with others. The method is similar to the method used with Outlook 2007.

You cannot create hyperlinked buttons to launch forms or other applications from the ribbon or QAT. You can use a script to launch files or applications and assign the macro to a button. SeeCreate Toolbar Buttons to Open Templates and Files for the necessary VBA and instructions.

Use the following steps to customize the ribbon or QAT in Outlook 2010, Outlook 2013, or Outlook 2016:

  1. Click File, then Options
  2. Select either Customize ribbon or Quick Access Toolbar
    User uploaded file
  3. If you are adding a command to the ribbon, you'll need to add a new group to an existing tab or a new tab and a new group using the New Group and New Tab buttons.
  4. Find the command on the left and click Add to add it to the new group.
  5. Click Rename if you want to change the name or change the icon.

Cheers!
