No verification code ?

Hi

I don't seem to ever get the Apple verification codes to any of my numerous devices. I always have to request a code through text messaging to my cell phone.

I cannot currently log into my new Apple TV as it doesn't give an option to send via text message. Even just now to log onto this forum on my iMac I didn't receive the verification code on any device. I have an iPhone 6s Plus, iPad, iWatch and iMac, yet none are receiving the code???? Any suggestions???

iMac (21.5-inch, Late 2013), OS X Yosemite (10.10.3)

I can see the list of trusted devices, but there is no obvious way to designate them to receive the verification code. Luckily the "trusted phone numbers" contains my iPhone's number, so I can use SMS to get the code, but as the OP said, this does not help for the Apple TV.

Hi OldManLink. If you have Apple TV 2 or 3 (silver remote), try the method in this link: Re: appleTV keeps asking for appleID, password and authentication code circularly.

Have you designated a Trusted Device for your Apple ID?

Regarding Apple TV, depending on the version, it may not handle the verification or authentication that you are using. You may need to login to your account and temporarily disable verification or authentication in order to login on the ATV.

Sign in to the Apple ID site, https://appleid.apple.com/ and find where it lets you disable the multi-step login. You can also designate the trusted devices to receive the code, which apparently you have not done.
