iPad Broken Beyond Repair. What are my options?

Hi,

My iPad Pro broke beyond any repair (body is bent and screen is fully shattered) and will definitely need to be replaced with a new one. I only bought the iPad a little over a month ago. Here are my quesrions:

- will the standard warranty cover a replacement?

- It seem that AppleCare+ would cover this but I did not get it. However I see that I have upto 60 days to buy one. Can I still buy it now and have it applied to repair the broken iPad?

Thank you in advance

iPad Pro, iOS 9.3.2

This used to be included on the warranty page, ""An iPhone that is ineligible for warranty service may be eligible for Out-of-Warranty (OOW) Service. For example, an iPhone that has failed due to damage or liquid damage is ineligible for warranty service but eligible for OOW service. However, certain damage is ineligible for OOW service, including catastrophic damage, such as the device separating into multiple pieces, and inoperability caused by unauthorized modifications."

This one I copied from the iPhone page a while ago but it read the same for all devices. Apple no longer has that on the page but it may still be around (just well hidden from prying consumer eyes) and if it is it may mean that if the body is bent and the screen shattered it may even be ineligible for OOW service.
