Unable to change YouTube app video quality when using cellular data?

Basically when I'm on my data (AT&T) and decided to watch a video it plays automatically at 1080 but it burns my data fast. I tried changing through the video, those three dots it and says unavailable. I go into YouTube app settings and I don't have any options to change the quality just the upload quality. But I notice on Android users they have the options to change the quality. I search up on Google but I don't get the option in settings I don't even get the side menu. Yes my YouTube app up-to-date.

iOS is garbage I have no clue why I thought it was a good idea to switch from galaxy to iPhone I'll be making the switch back. This phone is too simple and iOS has far too many restrictions I hate it.

In Youtube app open your account (circle upper right corner). Go to settings and there select Play HD on Wi/Fi only.

Hope this is what you were locking for.

Dont sign in to the Youtube, then you will be able to change the quality of videos.

I have sent this request to Google via Youtube Feedback section like a zillion times, but it seems they don't want to listen to us since I didn't get a reply even once.

This still does not play videos on 240p, it still plays on 480p which is still data consuming. The option you told just restricts playing videos on 720p.
